Giacomo Puccini

La Bohème — Marcello

Marcello the painter is Rodolfo's closest friend and the opera's second love story. His stormy, jealous affair with Musetta throws the fragile romance of Rodolfo and Mimì into relief: where one couple is destroyed by tenderness, these two quarrel and reconcile to the final bar.
